When forced to take down a 100+ year old oak tree (this one due to a lightening strike), we like to take the widest, straightest sections of the trunk and turn it into furniture This section is 12 ft long by 4 ft wide. It will be cut into slabs before heading to be kiln dried, then air dried for roughly a year. We expect this particular section of the tree to be made into large dining room tables
